Do I really need to use the plastic cover?

Yes. It is important to utilize the cover in order to prevent damage. By placing the cover over the window whenever there is the possibility of being subjected to a sharp blow or impact, you can dramatically cut down the damage done to your Interval 2000.

Why is the display dimming/faint?

If your display begins to dim, it is time to replace the batteries. REMEMBER all unsaved data will be lost when the batteries are changed.

How do I turn on my backlight? / How do I turn off my backlight?

The backlight on the Interval 2000 turns on and off automatically whenever the low light sensor is activated by low light conditions or deactivated by high light conditions.
