Oar Repair Services

From October 2001, Oarsport now have a London based oar repair and service technician - Russ Thatcher. If you call Oarsport to arrange for oar repairs and your location is including or south of the Worcester/Northampton/Cambridge line, your oars will be directed to London for repair unless you request a service visit as below. If you are North of this line, your oars will be directed to us here in Nottingham for repair.

To help keep your oars in good racing order, we are offering a visiting repair service to your club. For a minimum call out fee of £50^*, we will visit your club and check your oars for pitch, condition of shafts and spoons, and wear to handles and grips, sleeves and collars. Once all checks have been made within that minimum fee, any shaft repairs and parts used or replaced in the subsequent repairs, (should there be any), will be charged for at cost, together with labour at £30 per hour.

Russ will also offer advice on servicing costs to any Concept 2 ergometers your club may have. These repairs will be conducted at another time if time does not allow during an oar repair visit.
